Henna’s acting career exploded on South African screens in 2003, with hit TV serials: Tsha Tsha, Soul City, This life, and a telecoms giant ad campaign as the face of the Network for 2 years, appearing in all their TV ads, billboards, and even airtime cards.
He won The Duku Duku Best actor in a drama award, 2004, and had started working in production 2003; as a runner, PA, co-ordinator, AD and then producer. Worked on many projects, including working closely with Genevieve Hofmeyr as a producer on Invictus, the Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, Warner Bros picture by Clint Eastwood.
Sisanda moved to Los Angles to pursue work in Hollywood in 2007. He worked at the Pan African Film and arts festival, assisting the festival Director with many things, from IT, overseeing quality control, filmmaker liaison, PR and marketing strategies.
He launched his professional directing career, directing a commercial for the Dept. Of Roads 2010.
He’s trained as a story and script editor on the at Masters level through the South African National Film Video foundation, making him a well rounder, writer-director. Henna has also completed the International Financing program offered by the Nfvf.
Henna is also a gifted speaker, who is invited to speak at many events and gatherings, because of his celebrity status in South Africa. Henna was the host of the biggest gospel music tv show in South Africa, Gospel Gold, on Sabc One during 2013 & 2014. He also wrote and directed the studio shoots for the show
Henna’s directorial work on television has received phenomenal reviews. He’s worked on Award winning shows like Scandal, Intersexions and Gauteng Maboneng.
Henna has recently been the series producer, and creative director for the 2nd season of the award-winning sitcom, Gauteng Maboneng. Henna’s latest work is on a hit prime-time telenovela, called Gold Diggers, and Mzansi Magic drama Greed & Desire
